چکیده

Abstract Background/Aims The standard measurement instruments for assessing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) disease activity (DA) are the Disease Activity Score with 28-Joint Count, Simple Index and Clinical Index, which all require a laboratory test joint count undertaken by health care professional. current of in RA is “Treat-to-Target”, regular assessment DA an integral part. Few healthcare providers have capacity to assess patients as frequently stipulated NICE or EULAR guidelines thus treatment not adjusted sufficiently. SARS-COV-2 pandemic has made problem more conspicuous remote rather than face-to-face consultations. Previous research suggested that Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) most informative way DA, they allow efficient use NHS resource. We therefore aimed PROMs against internationally recognised COSMIN rating PROMs. Methods PROSPERO registered CRD42020176176. This review built on previous systematic same area, PubMed EMBASE searches expanded include articles up January 2019 (rather June 2014 date) those before 1994. Systematic review of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for assessing disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis

Patient assessment of disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may be useful in clinical practice, offering a patient-friendly, location independent, and a time-efficient and cost-efficient means of monitoring the disease. The objective of this study was to identify patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) to assess disease activity in RA and to evaluate the measurement properties of thes...

However, there is a paucity of information regarding the availability of PRO data and PRO tools for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Japan. OBJECTIVE We reviewed the literature on PRO data availability and to identify...

The rheumatoid foot: a systematic literature review of patient-reported outcome measures

BACKGROUND The foot is often the first area of the body to be systematically affected by rheumatoid arthritis. The multidimensional consequences of foot problems for patients can be subjectively evaluated using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). However, there is currently no systematic review which has focused specifically upon the PROMs available for the foot with rheumatoid arthritis...

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory autoimmune and progressive disease. In patients with RA, persistent disease activity ultimately results in irreversible radiographic damage of the joints with persistent functional loss as a consequence. Disease activity measures assess a disease state at a particular time point. In order to evaluate the course of the disease in daily clinical practi...

Patient-reported outcome measures in patients with peripheral arterial disease: a systematic review of psychometric properties

Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) provide important information about the burden of disease and impact of treatment in affected patients. OBJECTIVES The objective of the review was to identify and appraise studies reporting the psychometric evaluation of PROMs ...
